About Christi.

A True Texan

A proud native of Midland, Christi Craddick stands as a beacon of conservative leadership in the Lone Star State. From growing up in the Permian Basin to serving as the state’s top oil and gas regulator, Christi has always been driven by unwavering integrity, a commitment to freedom, and a spirit of innovation that embodies the true Texan spirit.

An Advocate for Texas Energy

Since joining the Railroad Commission in November 2012, Christi has worked tirelessly to sensibly regulate the state’s energy industry, protecting our natural resources while unleashing economic opportunity. Christi’s leadership has helped foster innovation and advanced Texas’ leadership in global energy production.

Committed to the People of Texas.

Standing Strong for Texas and America

Christi stands strong against the radical left’s scheme to destroy Texas jobs and America’s energy independence, which, left unchallenged, would jeopardize our national security by making us more dependent on foreign powers.

Public Service Comes First

Christi is an active member of her community, serving in organizations such as the State Bar of Texas, University of Texas Liberal Arts Alumni Advisory Council, and Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation.

Christi holds both a Bachelor’s Degree as a Plan II graduate and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from The University of Texas at Austin. Before joining the commission, Christi specialized in issues related to oil, gas, electricity, water, taxation, and environmental policy, all areas crucial to the future of Texas.

She lives in Austin with her daughter, Catherine, and is an active member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
